About This Project

Sometimes a community initiative arises and you feel so passionate about supporting it. That’s what happened when we learned of One Hopeful Place. This is an organization dedicated to helping the homeless. The mission of One Hopeful Place is to provide housing and end the cycle of homelessness for those who have experienced loss of their home in Okaloosa County. The residents at OHP are encouraged to make a change in their lives and get back on track with their life.

When the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce asked us to help, we felt compelled to donate our resources to create a functional website for this great organization. First and foremost, this website is a tool for homeless to reach out for help. Since the website was launched, hundreds of help requests have been submitted. The second function of the website is to encourage members of our community to get involved by donating money, donating their time, and in-kind donations. Interested in getting involved?
